Polycarbonate Sheet Packing
Polycarbonate panels are a translucent rigid plastic that is almost as transparent as glass. Growers Supply's shipping department takes extra steps when packaging polycarbonate sheets to ensure safe delivery. The process requires us to apply an additional packaging charge, which is based on the size of the panels and the quantity ordered.

Workers lay a large cardboard box on the work table. The polycarbonate sheets are stored in our Truss Arch building in Iowa.

Support bars are made by banding strips of cardboard. These bars will keep the polycarbonate sheets from bending during transport.

The support bars are laid on the cardboard box.

Sheets of polycarbonate are stacked on the support bars.

Support bars are added to the top of the stacked polycarbonate sheets.

The box is folded over and sealed. The polycarbonate sheets are now completely boxed and ready to be safely shipped around the world.

How are polycarbonate sheets shipped? For large orders, the sheets are crated on a pallet, as shown in the left photo. Smaller quantities, shown on the right, are boxed using the above method.
